This adventurous half-day ride takes us up one of the most attractive ravines in the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the snow-capped mountains of the Andes. This gully is called the Pumahuanca Valley, which was once chosen as the private garden of the Inca King Pachacuteq because of its astounding natural beauty.
We ride along a path following a crystal clear stream that trickles down from the Pumahuanca glacier. This area is always lush and it offers beautiful views of birds and native vegetation. At the highest point of the trail, we stop to visit the small archeological site of “Inca Racaqniyoc,” a former Incan settlement. Then we return back down the ravine along the same path. The beauty and tranquility of this ride makes this trip an unforgettable journey through nature.
